Community Involvement

Tobacco-Free Kids

Tobacco-Free Kids

The Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids is an organization which works to reduce tobacco use among young people through public advocacy and educational campaigns. Through endorsement and support of public policies aimed at reducing smoking and other forms of tobacco use, the group has been successful in preventing children from starting to smoke, continuing to smoke, and developing serious health issues because of tobacco.

The group is hosting its 16th Annual Youth Advocate of the Year Awards Gala on May 17th, 2012 in Washington, D.C. The Gala benefits the Campaign’s mission and will recognize many individuals, both young and old, who are leading the effort to fight tobacco use. The event is also an occasion for civic and philanthropic leaders to recognize progress and reaffirm goals in the fight against death and disease due to tobacco use.

GNSI believes that community involvement and advancing public health understanding are worthy causes, and has contributed towards this event. The company’s sponsorship is in recognition of the honorees’ exemplary achievements and concern for the children and the general public’s wellbeing.

Save a Child's Heart

Save a Child's Heart

Save A Child's Heart (SACH) provides urgently needed pediatric heart surgery and follow-up care for indigent children from developing countries. Based in Israel, our mission is to improve the quality of pediatric cardiac care for children from countries where the heart surgery they need is unobtainable.

Every 29 hours their doctors save a child's life in our medical facilities in Israel or on medical missions in partner countries around the world. Thousands of children are alive today because of a small group of medical professionals who volunteer their time and expertise to perform life-saving cardiac surgery and train local medical personnel.

All children, regardless of race, religion, sex, color, or financial status receive the best possible care that modern medicine has to offer.

GNSI has contributed $10,000 to SACH in 2011.
For more information see the SACH U.S. Website

American Red Cross

The American Red Cross has been the Nation’s “premiere emergency response organization” since 1881. In addition to disaster relief, the Red Cross is also the Nation’s largest supplier of blood and blood products, with over four million annual donors.

GNSI believes in the importance of the Red Cross in our Nation’s healthcare system. To facilitate donating blood during blood drives, GNSI offers paid time off for employees to schedule donation appointments during the workday.

The Children's Inn at NIH

Children’s Inn at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) is a residential “home-away-from-home”, offering no-cost accommodations to children and the families of children receiving treatment at the NIH.

As a premiere IT firm that operates in close association with the medical community around the NIH, FDA, medical centers and the public health space, GNSI understands the importance of the Children’s Inn at NIH, and the positive impact it has on the lives of so many children and their families.

GNSI is proud to sponsor the 18th hole at the annual Children’s Inn at NIH INNvitational Golf Tournament.
