GlobalNet Services Named Finalist for TCM High Technology Firm of the Year

GlobalNet Services, Inc has been named as one of the finalists for the Tech Council of Marylands’s (TCM) 2012 High Technology Firm of the Year Award. The High Technology Firm of the Year award recognizes and honors acknowledges organizations, which have innovative technologies and products that are making a difference in the way companies do business.

Starting in 1995, when it was founded by Ori Reiss, the company delivered a web-based software system for the FDA, long before it became commonplace. That same system is still in use today, having gone through several modernizations, and is still contracted to GNSI. In the ensuing years, GNSI provided other innovative solutions that were well ahead of their time. This included Enterprise Search, web analytics, search appliances, and managed hosting services. GNSI proposed and implemented each with great success for its clients.

Since GNSI’s founding in 1995, it has consistently been recognized for its innovative solutions to business challenges and heralded by numerous recognitions such as the FDA Commissioner’s Award, a top-5 Excellence in Government Award, and a spot on the Washington Technology Fast 50. Recently, its Google search solutions were selected by KMWorld as an "Emerging Product of the Year" in 2011 and its CEO being recognized as "Maryland Innovator of the Year" in 2010.

The award winner will be announced at the 2012 Tech Council of Maryland's (TCM) Annual Dinner and Tech Awards Celebration on April 26, 2012, at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel & Conference Center. Bringing together over 900 technology, biotechnology, government, academia, and supporting businesses, the Annual Dinner & Tech Awards Celebration is one of Maryland’s largest and most prestigious award ceremonies. Established in 1984, this event is now attended by over 800 technology executives from the technology and biotechnology industry.
